Description
Part of a concept I had for a one-panel comic of archaeologists discovering something rather startling, this is all that I ever finished. The person with the wings is a symbol of Ahura Mazdah (lit: "Wise Lord"), the Zoroastrian god, as copied from the cover of The Dawn and Twilight of Zoroastrianism. The crossed circumflexes is the cup and sword, a predecessor to the star of David (read The DaVinci Code for a pretty good explanation of that). I thought it'd be interesting to find evidence of the mixing of the two religions before the Babylonian exile, which is the first time the two cultures ever really met outside of the occasional trader.
